A quick guide to capturing multi-source audio from microphones, NDI, and your Mac
When you first open SnapAudio, macOS will ask for microphone permission. Click OK so the app can record from your input devices.
If you plan to record NDI streams, macOS will also prompt for local network access. Click Allow so SnapAudio can discover NDI sources on your Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
In the sidebar, expand Inputs. Available microphones, audio interfaces, and discovered NDI streams are listed. Toggle one on to add it as an active source.
Each active source gets a level meter, gain knob, volume fader, and mute. Use gain to compensate for quiet sources, and volume to balance them in the mix.
Drag sources into groups (for example, Mics, NDI Cams, System) to keep complex setups organized. Group names and colors help you identify them at a glance.
The Filters section in the sidebar lets you apply DSP effects to the master output. Click any filter row to expand its parameters.
Drag any knob up or down to change its value. Double-click a knob to reset it to its default. Filters apply in real time so you can hear the effect immediately.
Click the red Record button in the transport bar. SnapAudio captures every active source to a single mixed file plus optional isolated tracks per source.
Click Stop when you're done. Switch to the Library view to play back the recording with seek and scrub. Use the playback bar at the bottom to navigate.
Click Export on any recording to save it as WAV or AIFF to a folder of your choice. Files are stored locally on your Mac and never uploaded.
