Get Started with SnapSFTP

Connect to your remote servers with a fast, native macOS SFTP client

Your First Connection

1 Add a Server

Click the + button to add a new server. Enter your hostname, port (default 22), username, and password or SSH key.

2 Save as Bookmark

Save your connection as a bookmark for one-click access in the future. Credentials are stored securely in your Mac's Keychain.

3 Connect

Click Connect to establish a secure SFTP session. You'll see the remote file system in a familiar Finder-style layout.

Transferring Files

1 Drag & Drop

Drag files from Finder into the SnapSFTP window to upload, or drag files from SnapSFTP to your desktop to download. It's that simple.

2 Quick Look Preview

Select any file and press Space to preview it with Quick Look - just like in Finder. Works with images, text files, PDFs, and more.

3 Navigate with Ease

Use the path bar to jump between directories, or double-click folders to browse. Keyboard shortcuts work just like Finder navigation.
