Snap LAN Scan does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All network scanning happens locally on your device.

Data Collection

Snap LAN Scan does not collect any data from you or your device:

  • No personal information collected
  • No device information transmitted externally
  • No analytics or tracking
  • No usage data collection

Network Communication

Snap LAN Scan communicates only within your local network for device discovery and NDI monitoring. Specifically:

  • Network scanning (ICMP ping, ARP table) occurs only on your local network
  • NDI source discovery uses mDNS/Bonjour on your LAN
  • Bandwidth testing uses Apple's built-in networkQuality tool
  • No scan results or device information is sent to external servers

Local Storage

Custom device names, type overrides, and scan history are stored locally on your Mac and are never transmitted to any servers.
