Get Started with Snap Camera

Turn your iPhone into a wireless camera source for Snap Studio

Initial Setup

1 Install Snap Camera

Download Snap Camera from the App Store on your iPhone. Make sure your iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac running Snap Studio.

2 Allow Permissions

Grant camera, microphone, and local network access when prompted. These permissions are required for Snap Camera to stream video to Snap Studio.

3 Connect to Snap Studio

Open Snap Camera and it will automatically appear as an NDI source on your network. In Snap Studio on your Mac, assign it to a camera slot.

Using During a Production

1 Frame Your Shot

Position your iPhone and frame your shot. Use a tripod or mount for stable footage. The live preview shows exactly what Snap Studio sees.

2 Receive Director Cues

The Snap Studio director can communicate with you via the built-in walkie talkie. You'll see tally indicators when your camera is live or in preview.

3 Remote Control

The director can remotely adjust your camera settings from Snap Studio, including exposure and white balance, so you can focus on framing.
